Unhappy hour continues and all the misanthropes drink for
free, it's part two of our Great Directors, Bad Films trilogy! We're looking at
Tim's pick, the no-budget, shot-in-six-days shitshow, Highball, directed by
Noah Baumbach.
The recipe for this instalment? It's simple - a splash of
terrible characters, a dash of awful camerawork, two shots of shitty
storytelling and a jigger of the most painfully unfunny screenwriting this side
of North. Don't forget to give it a cyanide-salt rim if everything gets too
much for you.
You don't want to miss this one! Woeful depictions of mental
health, wannabe-Richard Linklater dialogue, terrible 90s gay panic jokes and
one member of the show gets very angry indeed. The strongest of strong language
in this one, you've been warned!
